Nationwide "American Idol Audition Bus Tour" to visit five cities this August
"American Idol XIII" kicks off in January 2014
In its quest for undiscovered talent, "American Idol XIII" will embark on the "American Idol Audition Bus Tour" to search the nation for the next superstar. Beginning later this month, the hit competition series will hit the road for a five-town mobile tour offering hopefuls a chance to audition for "American Idol XIII."
The "American Idol Audition Bus Tour" will stop at the following cities: Little Rock, Ark., on Saturday, Aug. 17; Oxford, Miss., on Monday, Aug. 19; Tuscaloosa, Ala., on Wednesday, Aug. 21; Knoxville, Tenn., on Friday, Aug. 23; and Chapel Hill, N.C., on Monday, Aug. 26. Also, "Idol" auditions continue in the previously announced cities: Boston, Friday, Aug. 2, at the Gillette Stadium (registration begins today); Austin, Texas, Wednesday, Aug. 7, at the Frank Erwin Center (registration begins Tuesday, Aug. 6); and Omaha, Neb., Sunday, Aug. 11, at the CenturyLink Center (registration begins Saturday, Aug. 10).
Additionally, hopefuls can audition at www.americanidol.com, by submitting an audition video online. Entrants should demonstrate their stellar singing ability by performing a song of their choice a cappella. Videos are limited to one submission per person.
