Canalside concert event to benefit Roswell Park Cancer Institute

The Guess Who headlines a day-long music and food event on July 28

The "Roswell Park Concert for a Cure" music and food event is coming to Canalside in Buffalo on July 28. From 2 until 10 p.m., participants and bands will sing out against cancer. Canada's The Guess Who will headlining the day-long celebration.

A dozen local bands will perform. Acts include Hit N Run, The Informers, Route 66, The Heritage, Whiskey Reverb, Double Shot, Carl Motyka Band, and Leon and the Fork Lifts.

Food from 20 local restaurants will be available, including AcQua, Buffalo Roadhouse, The Delaware, Just Pizza, Fat Bob's Smokehouse and Giancarlo's. Additionally, there will be more than 20 artists showcasing their work on site.

Each ticket bought registers you to win a 2013 Honda to be given away at the event (donated by Zeiglar Honda).

Need a ride after the event? Miller Lite will pay to have a taxi take you home.

All proceeds raised from this event will go directly to cancer research at Roswell Park Cancer Institute. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit http://theconcertforacure.com.
