Lewiston Police Blotter for July 13, 2013

The following activity occurred Monday, July 1, to Sunday, July 7, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD logged a total of 100 response calls during this period.

Monday, July 1

•4700 block of Creek Road, disturbing the peace. Parties advised.

•Saunders Settlement Road, westbound from Route 429, reckless driver. Area checked with negative results.

•4000 block of Creek Road, fraud. Statement taken from a female, 75, who reported information on a KeyBank account was given over the phone. KeyBank notified.

•5300 block of Military Road, separate reports of one-vehicle accidents. Statements taken; MV forms issued. Reports filed.

•Oneida and North Third Streets, animal problem, barking dog. Dog was taken inside.

•4900 block of Callan Drive, open burn complaint. Resident advised.

Tuesday, July 2

•800 block of Youngstown-Lockport Road, check welfare/EMS. Female taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

•Lewiston and Military roads, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from the drivers; MV forms issued.

•LPD office, follow-up. Two males, ages 17 and 16, arrested on charges of burglary, second degree, and petit larceny. No further information; report filed.

•Indian Hill Road, suspicious person. Male wearing a black shirt with jeans reported as in and out of traffic. Patrol reported the subject as intoxicated and provided a courtesy escort.

Wednesday, July 3

•Bridgeman Road, ATV problem. Male, 16, listed as a suspect. Vehicle fled from the location, causing property damage to a residence. Suspect also placed under arrest for operating while registration is suspended/revoked. Appearance ticket issued for Lewiston Town Court, vehicle towed.

•900 block of Center Street, bad check complaint at a supermarket. Patrol spoke with office manager; paperwork filed for charges.

•500 block of Third Street, Niagara Falls, follow-up, stolen property. Patrol reported negative results at a business.

•4100 block of Lower River Road, Joseph Davis State Park, criminal mischief complaint. Patrol spoke with a male, 54. Report filed.

•800 block of Center Street, injury accident. Female, 47, taken to nearby hospital for an evaluation. Report filed.

•8200 block of Colonial Drive, domestic. LPD assisted Niagara County Sheriff's Office and State Police on location. Call handled.

•2900 block of Ridge Road, check 911. LPD on location with State Police to assist on a domestic incident report.

Thursday, July 4

•2900 block of Saunders Settlement Road, intoxicated driver. Male, 23, arrested for driving while intoxicated; aggravated driving while intoxicated; and aggravated unlicensed operation, first. Arraignment at Lewiston Town Court, bail assigned at $1,500/$3,000. Report filed.

•I-190/Route 104-Lewiston Road, accident. Driver reported windshield damage from a Modern truck. Advised to contact Modern and private insurance company.

•1100 block of Elliott Drive, follow-up. Two females listed; call involved follow-up to an earlier stolen purse report. No charges at this time.

•North Third and Oneida streets, accident with a bike. Male, and male, 63, listed on call. Minor injuries reported. Report filed.

•Cayuga Street, reckless driver. Plate number logged; negative results on search.

•Callan Drive, fireworks complaint. Area checked; negative results.

•4500 block of Creek Road, fireworks complaint. Parties advised.

•200 block of South Eighth Street, juvenile problem. Handled by patrol.

Friday, July 5

•Bond Lake, suspicious vehicle. All OK.

•5300 block of Military Road, harassment. Patrol spoke with a male (no age listed) who stated he was punched by an unknown male while at a bar/restaurant on the 800 block of Center Street.

•Creek and Ridge roads, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 29, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation. Jail/bail of $250 assigned and suspect remanded to Niagara County Jail. Report filed.

•5800 block of West Street, neighbor problem. Patrol spoke with complainant; all OK at this time.

•800 block of The Circle Drive, domestic. Female, 57, listed as victim and male, 58, listed as suspect. Male struck female the day prior. Situation addressed. Domestic incident report and patrol's report both filed.

•4900 block of Big Vista Drive, suspicious vehicle. Male, 35, listed as complainant; two males, both 21, listed as suspects. Males were reportedly helping build the residence and were picking up wood. All OK.

Saturday, July 6

•Ward Road, vehicle/traffic stop. Male, 26, arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation. Appearance tickets issued for Lewiston Town Court. Vehicle towed; report filed.

•Lewiston sand docks, suspicious vehicle. Patrol advised to leave area.

•Saunders Settlement and Miller roads, ATV problem. Patrol reported five subjects fled westbound on Saunders Settlement Road. One subject who remained was advised to leave the area.

•400 block of Guard Street, custody problem. Male listed as complainant and male and female listed as persons involved. Call handled by patrol.

•400 block of Guard Street, animal problem. Deer wandering in yards. Animal later retrieved by animal rescue.

•Mohawk and North seventh streets, suspicious vehicle. Handled by State Police.

•2400 block of Moore Road, stolen ATV. Male reported an ATV stolen during the evening hours. Report filed.

•200 block of Niagara Street, burglary. Male reported $100 taken from wallet; grandson listed as suspect.

•400 block of Center Street, bad check complaint at a business. Statement taken from a female complainant regarding a female suspect. Patrol contacted suspect; payment will be made. Report filed.

•100 block of Escarpment Drive, domestic. Statement taken from a female complainant concerning a male suspect. Male arrested on criminal mischief charge; appearance ticket issued for Lewiston Town Court.

•5000 block of Marywood Drive, lost property. Female reported a lost purse containing bank cards, and a license.

•Bond Lake Park, vehicle/traffic stop-arrest. Female, 40, arrested for having an unregistered vehicle, and for aggravated unlicensed operation, third degree. Jail/bail of $250 assigned. Vehicle towed; report filed.

•Ridge Road, vehicle/traffic stop-arrest. Male, 25, arrested for unlawful possession of marijuana. Report filed.

•Upper Mountain Road, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from drivers; report filed.

Sunday, July 7

•4800 block of Eddy Drive West, custody dispute. Female 55, listed as complainant and female, 28, listed as person involved. Issue resolved by patrol; report filed.

•Indian Hill Road, accident/hit-run/arrest. Male, 24, listed as suspect and female, 20, listed as victim. Male arrested for driving while intoxicated - drugs, and other charges unspecified. Arraignment at Porter Town Court; suspect released on own recognizance. MV form issued; report filed.

•4100 block of Lower River Road at Joseph Davis State Park, accident/hit-run. Statement from driver of vehicle No. 1; other driver fled scene. Patrol's investigation continuing.

•800 block of Swann Road, ATV pursuit. Patrol reported a pursuit of a 2012 Arctic Cat side-by-side. Uniform traffic tickets issued to a male, no age listed.

•Lewiston Queenston Bridge Duty Free Shop. Larceny. Male, 20, listed as complainant/victim. Report filed.
