Buffalo Sabres sign forward Colin Jacobs

Buffalo Sabres General Manager Darcy Regier announced late Thursday that the Sabres signed forward Colin Jacobs to a three-year, entry-level contract.

Jacobs (age 20, 6'1", 202 lbs.) finished the 2012-13 season with the Rochester Americans, recording three points (one goal, two assists) in 11 American Hockey League games. Prior to joining the Amerks, Jacobs led the Prince George Cougars with 25 goals and 53 points in 66 Western Hockey League games. In 252 career WHL games, Jacobs compiled 142 points (69/73) and 332 penalty minutes.

The Coppell, Texas, native was selected by the Sabres in the fourth round (107th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
