St. Peter's Lutheran and Niagara Power Baseball team up

During the month of June, St. Peter's Lutheran Church of Sanborn and the Niagara Power baseball team of Niagara Falls will join together to impact the local community.

On Wednesday, June 5, Niagara Power players will join St. Peter's Christian Day School students and staff for chapel worship as well as classroom visits.

On Saturday, June 8, St. Peter's will sponsor "Faith Night at the Ballpark" (Sal Maglie Stadium, Niagara Falls). The game will begin at 7 p.m. and will feature the Power versus the Rochester Ridgemen. The game will be accompanied by entertainment, giveaways and live music. All are welcome to attend this family-friendly event.

On Sunday, June 30, the Niagara Power baseball team will join St. Peter's congregation at its 11 a.m. worship gathering. Players and coaches from the team will participate through music, readings and testimonies. Following worship, a potluck luncheon will be held in the school gymnasium. All are welcome.

St. Peter's Lutheran Church, 6167 Walmore Road, Sanborn, is a 2013 official sponsor of Niagara Power baseball. For more information, call the church/school office at 716-731-4422.

The Niagara Power is a team in the New York Collegiate Baseball League. It is an affiliate of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, a national, faith-based ministry.

FCA partnered with Cal Kern of Grand Island and the City of Niagara Falls to establish the Niagara Power in 2007.
