The American Cancer Society has announced Nicholas Picholas of Entercom Radio of Buffalo's WKSE-FM (Kiss 98.5) has been recognized with the 2013 American Cancer Society Voice of Hope Award. The honor is bestowed on volunteers who share the mission of the American Cancer Society while exceeding all expectations for voluntary service for the western market of the American Cancer Society.

The American Cancer Society selected Picholas as the recipient of this award in recognition of his unwavering commitment, hours of service, and for using his professional platform to inform, educate and activate Western New Yorkers to join the fight to end cancer. Picholas received the award last month at the American Cancer Society's Cuisine for Cure.

"This award is certainly well-deserved," said Kelli Cravey, the American Cancer Society's senior director of income development. "As a volunteer-driven organization, the American Cancer Society counts on volunteers like Nick to help us further our mission of eliminating cancer. Volunteers like Nick are gold to us and there was no question that he was our 2012-2013 Voice of Hope recipient."
