The Niagara Falls Branch of YMCA Buffalo Niagara has begun its fundraising effort for the 2013 "Strong Kids Campaign," under the leadership of campaign co-chairs Donald E. Burns and Lori Pellow.

The Niagara Falls Family YMCA, located at 1317 Portage Road, is an agency that has served downtown Niagara Falls for more than 108 years. For generations, the Y has been helping to shape the lives of people of all ages in spirit, mind and body by offering a wide array of services, including, preschool, child care, camping, youth sports, swimming lessons, teen leadership development programs, family support programs and fitness and recreation programs for adults, children, teens and seniors.

To ensure that no one is turned away due to an inability to pay, the Y provides financial assistance to those unable to afford the full cost of its programs and services. Last year, the Niagara Falls branch raised more than $46,000 during the "Strong Kids Campaign," and awarded more than $127,000.

One hundred percent of every dollar raised stays with the branch to support the residents of Niagara Falls. To learn more about the campaign or about the services provided, call 716-285-8491 or visit www.ymcabuffaloniagara.org.

Donations for the "Strong Kids Campaign" are gratefully accepted online or through check or money order, made payable to "Niagara Falls Family YMCA" and mailed directly to 1317 Portage Road, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.
