Youngstown Recreation will start its youth basketball league on Tuesday, Jan. 8. All games will be played at the Red Brick School village center gym, 240 Lockport St., in Youngstown. Teams in grades 2 to 4 will play from 6 to 6:45 p.m.; grades 5 and 6 will play from 6:45 to 7:30 p.m.; and grades 7 and 8 will play from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m.
Sign-ups will be held at the Red Brick gym from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Jan. 8; Thursday, Jan. 10, from 6 to 8:30 p.m.; and Friday, Jan. 11, from 6 to 9 p.m.
