A new seasonal celebration came to Niagara County last year, and it was a major hit - so much so, that the Kenan Center is bringing back its Niagara Wine and Beer Fest for a second year.

The event is scheduled to take place from 5 until 9 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 26, at the Kenan Center Arena, 195 Beattie Ave., Lockport, It will feature local wineries, a variety of breweries, and farm and food selections, with proceeds benefitting the Kenan Center and its programming.

As was the case last year, organizers are anticipating 20 wineries and breweries, along with representatives from local farms, live music with JJ Swing, a basket raffle, silent auction, 50/50 split and a variety of food vendors. New this year will be a $5 food voucher included with each admission.

Pre-sale tickets are $25 through Jan. 26 at the Kenan Center Business Office, 433 Locust St., Lockport, or at the Kenan Center Arena, 195 Beattie Ave. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.NiagaraWineAndBeerFest.com. Admission at the door will be $35 (if tickets remain).

The event will be limited to 1,100 tickets. This is an adult-only event, and only those age 21 and over will be admitted with proper ID. Designated drivers will be admitted for $10 at the door. Complimentary non-alcoholic beverages will be available.

Major sponsors for the event are Renewal by Andersen and Uniland Development Company.
