Students from the Lewiston Dance Center took first place in the Dance and Drill Team category in the Youngstown Field Days Parade held on Labor Day, Monday, Sept. 3.

The students had rehearsal, worked very hard and had some fun, getting back together after a long summer break.

Patti Hewitt, a Lewiston Dance Instructor, said, "This is such a great area; there are so many opportunities for our students to perform for the community. We are so proud of our girls; they work so well together, we couldn't ask for a better group of students to teach. The students were excited to hear that they received first place, it meant a lot to them that all of their hard work paid off!"

Lewiston Dance also took part in the Peach Festival "Dance Showcase" on Sunday, Sept. 9, on the Peach Festival main stage. The photo, taken from back stage, shows the girls performing "Time After Time" and the crowd enjoying the show.

The studio is accepting registrations for the 2012-13 dance season. For more information, call 716-754-7002.
