Town of Niagara Police Blotter for Sept. 20, 2012

The following is a sampling of calls received by the Town of Niagara Police between Sept. 7 and 13. During that time period, the police received 155 calls.

Friday, Sept. 7

•2900 block of Nevada Avenue, check situation. Man reportedly said he wanted to drive his car over the gorge with his 11-month-old son in the vehicle.

•1600 block of Tuscarora Road, assist citizen. Patrol assisted an elderly female locked out of her residence.

Saturday, Sept. 8

•9221 Lockport Road, assault. A 36-year-old Cayuga Drive woman was arrested after a fight involving a 73rd Street woman.

•3500 block of Hyde Park Boulevard, vandalism. Fence padlock cut at business. Possible attempted burglary.

•1900 block of Military Road, possible theft of services. Customer refused to pay cab driver.

Sunday, Sept. 9

•6400 block of Packard Road, larceny. Business owner reported tools valued at more than $2,000 were taken from a trailer parked in the rear of the business property.

•4700 block of Chester Avenue, animal complaint. Complainant said neighbor's dog got loose and attempted to "consummate dog love" with her dog.

•500 block of D Street, vandalism. Complainant said his pickup truck was keyed overnight.

Monday, Sept. 10

•4400 block of Military Road, burglary. Complainant reported that when he arrived at work, he found the office door, desk drawers and the safe all open. Entry believed to be through a rear garage door. Tires valued at $960, about $180 in cash and a flat-screen television were missing.

•800 block of Sunnyside Drive, check situation. Report of a possible structure fire. Female homeowner was grilling on porch.

•Tuscarora Road and Richmond Avenue, C Street, noise complaint. Patrol confirmed the music was coming from a benefit concert being held on Niagara Falls Boulevard in the city.

Tuesday, Sept. 11

•4500 block of Hyde Park Boulevard, larceny. Complainant reported sometime overnight, someone entered a locked gate area on the side of the business and took a propane tank used to fuel a forklift.

•1900 block of Military Road, harassment. Patrol issued an appearance ticket to a 16-year-old Grand Island girl for allegedly threatening to beat up a classmate who was working at the food court. Ongoing problem reportedly involves a boy at the school.

Wednesday, Sept. 12

•Military Road, check situation. Passerby called in a suspicious looking garbage bag by the railroad overpass. Patrol checked bag, which contained garbage.

•4200 block of Mohawk Parkway, local law violation. Patrol issued an appearance ticket for building code violation.

•B Street, juvenile problem. Patrol dispersed juveniles in the street reportedly attempting to start a fight.

Thursday, Sept. 13

•8400 block of Manor Road, burglary. Complainant reported someone stole his 2012 Yamaha ATV from the garage.

•Lockport Road, traffic ticket. Ticket issued for driving 54 mph in a 40 mph zone. Driver said, "My foot got jammed."
