Buffalo's LehrerDance opens the M&T Bank Dance Series at UB Center for the Arts on Oct. 6

The Center for the Arts, University at Buffalo, will present LehrerDance on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 8 p.m. in the Mainstage Theatre, located at the Center for the Arts, North Campus. The performance is sponsored by M&T Bank.

For the first time in its 14-year history, the M&T Bank Dance Series will include a local company. LehrerDance, Buffalo's internationally renowned professional dance company, will kick off the season with a concert showcasing the company's trademark blend of artistry and athleticism. The performance will feature three world premieres: "Murmur," "Like 100 Men" and "Skeletons," as well as three LehrerDance classics: "The Alliance," "Bridge and Tunnel" and "A Ritual Dynamic."

LehrerDance is an inspiring and innovative professional dance company based in Buffalo. Under the direction of Jon Lehrer, the company showcases unique choreography and embodies his definitive style. Lehrer's extensive background in both the modern and jazz dance idioms fosters choreography that is organic, artistic, accessible and often humorous, reflecting life experience and the human condition.
