Santa to visit Wheatfield market

The Wheatfield Farmers' Market will celebrate its second annual "Christmas in July" from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, July 25.

Santa will arrive at the market, held in the Wheatfield Town Hall parking lot, at 5 p.m., arriving via chauffeur in a 2002 Ford Thunderbird convertible. Leading the parade will be the St. Johnsburg Volunteer Fire Company.

For children visiting the market, there will be entertainment, activities provided by the YMCA, a bounce house, games, a theme craft table and face painting. The Town Board will provide free ice cream for children under 12.

A resident-customer gathering area will be provided at the market, which offers fresh produce and a wide variety of specialty items. Vendors, to date, have included Tina's Cheese, Prudom's, Susice's and Zuch Farms, The Kernel, Keeping Traditions, Inge Carrier Craft's, Schwan's, Hens Honey Bee, Wheatfield Seniors and Garden Club.

Extended for this special event and the remaining of the season is an invitation to any vendors, past and present, wishing to participant.
