Press release

High school juniors and seniors looking for a way to earn college credits outside of the Advanced Placement curriculum should look no further.

Niagara University's Office of Continuing Education is offering all students entering the 11th and 12th grades in fall 2012 the opportunity to spend time in a college setting, learn from some of the best instructors on campus and, perhaps most importantly, earn valuable credit hours by completing just two weeks of summer classes.

The NU Summer Academy is a program designed specifically for busy high school juniors and seniors who want to get a head start on their college careers. Participants will attend classes, hear from guest speakers, go on field trips and take part in experiential learning opportunities.

A course in forensic chemistry (CHE 108) is offered July 16-27. The three-credit-hour course will take two weeks to complete. Classes are held Monday through Friday from 1 to 5 p.m.

The course fee is $500 for day students or $1,095 for those wishing to reside on campus. The cost includes all class fees, meals and field trips and, in the case of resident students, accommodations, linens and evening activities.

For additional information, call Niagara University's Office of Continuing Education at 716-286-8181 or visit http://www.niagara.edu/ce.
