Press release

On Friday, Allegiant inaugurated low-cost, nonstop flights between Niagara Falls and the southwest Florida coast, via Punta Gorda Airport (PGD). The company, known for its exceptional travel deals, will offer fares as low as $93.99* one way between the two cities, as well as offer travelers hotel and air packages as low as $395* per person for three nights at the Inn on 5th.

"We have been able to grow rapidly in Niagara Falls and have been very pleased with how popular our vacation offerings have been with area residents. We're excited to offer yet another affordable and convenient way for Niagara Falls and Southern Ontario residents to get away to Florida," said Andrew C. Levy, Allegiant Travel Company president. "We are confident the community will appreciate the value of flying nonstop to southwest Florida and the great deals we offer on vacation packages."

Howard A. Zemsky, NFTA chairman stated, "Punta Gorda is a very popular destination with our customer base, because it gives them so many vacation options to travel to in southwest Florida. I am confident that our Niagara Falls and Canadian customers will fill the planes starting June 29 to enjoy all at the Punta Gorda region has to offer."

The new flights will operate twice weekly between Niagara Falls International Airport (IAG) and Punta Gorda Airport (PGD), beginning June 29. This announcement comes just days after Allegiant announced new, nonstop service between Niagara Falls and Ft. Lauderdale. Punta Gorda will be the fourth nonstop Florida destination served by Allegiant out of Niagara Falls International Airport. Allegiant also has nonstop service to Orlando and St. Petersburg/Clearwater, Fla.

Punta Gorda Airport is centrally located midway between the white-sand beaches of Fort Myers shore and Sarasota's tropical island communities.

Reservations can be made on the airline's website at www.allegiant.com or by calling the company's travel experts at 702-505-8888.
