N-W alumnus leads event at church

Niagara-Wheatfield graduate Steve Lucas, Class of 1977, is returning to the Niagara Falls area July 8 to 11, leading a group of 30 men and women from the Edmond, Okla., area to conduct a series of special nightly sessions at the LaSalle Church of Christ, 1121 N. Military Road.

The theme for the sessions is "Building Strong Family Relationships." Each of the speakers will be sharing thoughts designed to both encourage and challenge each participant to make his home more like that which God desires, a place where each person can find refuge, strength and love.

Topics include: July 8 - "Learning to Love," July 9 - "Controlling Anger," July 10 - "Overcoming Obstacles," and July 11 - "Leaving a Legacy."

Classes also will be available for children of all ages.

Sessions begin at 6 p.m. Sunday, with the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday sessions starting at 7 p.m. Nightly, after each session, beverages and desserts will be served. In addition, a special hot dog cookout and fixings will be provided at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
