The Wheatfield American Legion Riders of Post 1451 will be riding this Saturday, May 19, Armed Forces Day, to benefit Niagara Hospice's "We Honor Veterans" initiative.

For the second year, the Legion Riders will be honoring the veterans being served by Niagara Hospice and showing their appreciation for Hospice's special treatment of our nation's veterans.

Anyone that would like to take part in this ride can meet at the American Legion at 6525 Ward Road, Sanborn, to register between 11 a.m. and noon, with the ride heading out at noon. The ride fee is $20 per bike. Riders will depart the post to go to the Lewiston Moose, the Wilson Boat House and then to Hospice. After touring the facility and having hot dogs with staff and residents, the Legion Riders will post the flag at the Veterans Memorial before heading out to the Ransomville Depot and finally to The Marlboro Inn in Sanborn.

Niagara Hospice's "We Honor Veterans" initiative provides extra recognition to the sacrifices of veterans of all the armed forces. The Wheatfield American Legion Riders is a program of the American Legion and raises donations and awareness of the needs of the American military.
