The Erie County Sheriff's Office reports its officers responded to 153 calls from March 31 to April 6. Below is a sampling of only those incidents the ECSO reported to the Island Dispatch.
Sunday, April 1
•Bedell Road, loud music - A complainant stated that there was loud music coming from a nearby apartment complex. Patrol located the apartment in question and advised the occupants.
Monday, April 2
•Ferry Road, larceny - A complainant stated an unknown person stole a trailer for a watercraft from a marina. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
Tuesday, April 3
•Bedell Road, loud music - A complainant stated loud music was coming from a vehicle in the parking lot of the same apartment complex noted on April 1. Patrol located the vehicle and advised the occupants.
•Bush Road, trespass - A complainant stated that a residence on Bush Road was entered unlawfully by unknown person. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
•Bedell Road, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle - A complainant stated that his vehicle was stolen from his driveway by an unknown person. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
•Colonial Drive West, suspicious vehicle - A complainant stated a suspicious vehicle with two occupants was sitting in front of her house. Patrol checked the area, but was unable to locate the vehicle.
Wednesday, April 4
•Staley Road, shots fired - A complainant stated she heard approximately 25 shots coming from the woods in the neighborhood. Patrol checked the area, but was unable to locate the source of the shots.
Friday, April 6
•Long Road, traffic arrest - Following a traffic stop, deputies arrested a 23-year-old man from Buffalo after a Department of Motor Vehicles check showed his license was currently suspended in New York state. The man was issued traffic tickets returnable to Town of Grand Island Court.
