Niagara Family Medicine is in the process of constructing a new building in the Village of Lewiston.

The construction is "right on schedule," assures Madeline Dyster-Camann, practice administrator. The presumed completion of the project is the middle of June. The medical office is expected to open this fall.

The layout of the new building will consist of physician offices, a waiting room and an examination room on the first floor. The second floor will be comprised of administrative and clinical areas.

"Three of the doctors from Niagara Family Medicine will be providing services there," said Dyster-Camann. Their nurse practitioner, Patricia Shea, will also lend her services to the Lewiston office.

Patients have expressed interest in the new building.

"People are excited to see us coming there," said Dyster-Camann. "They're glad to hear it."

Niagara Family Medicine, which began as a two-physician practice in 1985, has grown to a 10-person staff with locations in Niagara Falls and Lewiston. The new Lewiston office will be located on Center Street, right across from the DiMino family Tops supermarket.
