The Niagara PAL under-19 boys soccer team announced its fifth annual basket auction fundraiser would take place from 6 until 9 p.m. on Friday, April 13, and from 8 a.m. until 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 14. The event will be held at Summit Fitness Center, 6930 Williams Road, No. 3000, Niagara Falls.

All proceeds from this event will be used to offset travel expenses for the team's participation in the prestigious Nike Challenge Cup located in Columbus, Ohio, and the annual Greece Cobras Tournament in Greece, New York.

"Fortunately, the success of past events has given us the ability to travel to tournaments in Columbus, Erie, Rochester and Syracuse, providing the boys with the exposure essential to advancing their soccer careers to the next level" said Head Coach A.J. Gelose. "It is our hope that this year we will be able to raise the necessary funds to give these boys the opportunity of a lifetime."

The team will auction off items from the Buffalo Bills, Bandits and Sabres, along with gift certificates to a number of local restaurants and businesses, including Salvatore's Italian Gardens, Russell's Steaks, Chops & More, Rapids Bowling Alley, and A Gust of Sun Winery.

Presale tickets are on sale for $15 and include 50 chances to win. Tickets can also be purchased at the door on the days of the event for a cost of $10 and include 25 chances to win. Additional tickets can be purchased at a cost of $10 for 25 tickets or $20 for 75 tickets. There will also be a side raffle for larger items, as well as a 50/50 raffle.

For advanced tickets or to make a donation, contact Team Manager Brenda Morrison at 946-6002 or Gelose at 417-3136.
