Assemblyman John Ceretto introduced Nik Wallenda Thursday to the entire Assembly chamber. In the course of his introduction, Ceretto mentioned how the upcoming Wallenda wirewalk event will be broadcasted and viewed by millions of people around the globe and that the event will help showcase Niagara Falls as a premier tourist destination, which will help generate tourism dollars and other opportunities for the region.
Wallenda was in Albany to meet with officials from the state Office of Parks, Recreation and Historic Preservation to discuss security and other logistics for the upcoming event.
