Event takes place at Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls
Crafters and jewelry makers are invited to attend the "Innovative Bead Expo," held at the Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls, 101 Old Falls St., on Saturday, March 10, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, March 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. The expo is open to the public. General admission is $4.
"Beading is one of the fastest growing hobbies in the nation," said Renu Sawhney, event coordinator. "Our expo is designed with all beaders in mind, including beginners and advanced beaders, jewelry makers and designers, as well as gift seekers."
Attendees will have to ability to purchase the trendiest new beads and beading supplies from more than a dozen vendors, including gemstones, crystals, pearls, silver, charms, chains and handcrafted glass lampwork beads. Beading classes offering different styles, patterns and techniques will be featured throughout the weekend along with hourly drawings.
In addition, Diane Worthington, from The 2 Bead Sisters, will demonstrate glass bead making techniques. Worthington has made glass beads for more than 12 years and has performed demonstrations at events throughout the northeast U.S.
