Lewiston Police Blotter for Jan. 7, 2012

The following activity occurred Monday, Dec. 26, 2011, to Sunday, Jan. 1, 2012, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. LPD responded to a total of 67 calls during this period.

Monday, Dec. 26

•5100 block of Tuscarora Road, assist. LPD on location with Town of Niagara Police on a call of two males throwing items at an apartment. One highly intoxicated male was taken home by TNPD. Patrol cleared.

•Lewiston Sand docks, suspicious activity. U.S. Border called regarding a possible boat crossing from Canada. Negative results on patrol's search.

•1800 block of Ridge Road (separate calls), standby and handgun turn-in. First call involved property removal; no problems found. Second call involved a handgun turned in to LPD by a female. Receipt issued.

•5200 block of Lewiston Road, Our Lady of Peace, report of a domestic. All parties gone on patrol's arrival. Investigation to continue.

•Upper Mountain Road, two-vehicle injury accident. Statements taken from both drivers. Both drivers taken to Erie County Medical Center, one by helicopter. Minor injuries reported. Both vehicles towed. Report filed.

•5300 block of Military Road, Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center, recovered property. Patrol reported a 35-year-old female, listed as a suspect, attempted to have heroin brought in while she was in a hospital detox unit. Heroin and needles secured by LPD. Report filed.

Tuesday, Dec. 27

•300 block of Howard Drive, assist. LPD on location with Niagara County Sheriff's Office for a 44-year-old female reportedly overdosed on medication. Woman taken to Mount St. Mary's.

•LPD office, aggravated harassment complaint. Statement taken from a 38-year-old male regarding a 43-year-old male listed as a person involved/suspect. Male advised not to have contact with the complainant. Report filed.

•800 block of Page Avenue, bench warrant execution. Patrol reported the arrest of a 19-year-old male; charge(s) not specified. Suspect arraigned at Porter Town Court. No bail assigned and suspect remanded to NCSO en route to Niagara County Jail.

•1000 block of Sweet Home Road, follow-up. Patrol reported the arrest of a 28-year-old female; charge(s) not specified. Appearance ticket issued for Lewiston Town Court. Report filed.

•900 block of Swann Road, suspicious vehicle. Patrol checked the area with negative results; Patrol spoke with complainant and reported all OK.

•4100 block of Lower River Road, intoxicated person roadside. Patrol reported a 34-year-old male as unresponsive at roadside on its arrival. Lewiston No. 1 Volunteer Fire Co. EMS transported to Mount St. Mary's.

•600 block of Mountain View Drive, check welfare. Residence found secure with no lights on; no answer at the door. Patrol cleared.

Wednesday, Dec. 28

•3100 block of Shenk Road, larceny. LPD on location to assist NCSO on the call. Patrol cleared.

•800 block of Onondaga Street, check welfare. Patrol checked the area for a male and a female in a vehicle, with negative results. Patrol cleared.

•400 block of Center Street, alarm response at a bar/restaurant. Open side door found, secured by patrol. Building searched and secured. Report filed.

•900 block of Upper Mountain Road, AED response. A 75-year-old female with chest pain was taken by Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Co. EMS to EM-Star at Mount St. Mary's.

•2200 block of Schoolhouse Road, mother-daughter domestic. Patrol spoke with a 19-year-old female listed as a complainant and a 49-year-old female listed as a person involved. Domestic incident report and patrol's report both filed.

•4300 block of Porter Center Road, aggravated harassment. Statements taken from a 17-year-old female listed as a victim/complainant about a male suspect (no age listed). Suspect agreed to stop calling the complainant. Report filed.

•Saunders Settlement and Garlow roads, reckless driver. Plate number logged and driver located at a Garlow Road gas/convenience business.

•4600 block of Creek Road, domestic. Patrol spoke with a 54-year-old female listed as the complainant and a 56-year-old male listed as a person involved. Female party left the residence for the night. Patrol's report and domestic incident report to be filed.

•600 block of Morgan Drive, check situation. Patrol spoke with a 61-year-old female listed as the complainant and a 48-year-old male listed as a person involved. Female reported as intoxicated. Both parties advised to call it a night. Patrol cleared.

Thursday, Dec. 29

•2300 block of Upper Mountain Road, larceny. Patrol reported items stolen were returned to the owner; no charges wished.

•500 block of Mountain View Drive, alarm response. Home secure; no key holder.

•2600 block of Saunders Settlement Road, attempt to locate. LPD assisting NCSO on an attempt to locate a vehicle sought on a mental health related call. Negative results reported.

•5600 block of Bridgeman Road, assist repo man. Repossession completed without incident.

•1800 block of Saunders Settlement Road, attempt to locate/missing person. Caller reported an elderly man with dementia was lost in an unknown place. Patrol located and returned home; wife advised to not let him drive.

•Lewiston and Military roads, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from both drivers. One party taken to Erie County Medical Center by Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Co. One vehicle towed; report filed.

Friday, Dec. 30

•4000 block of Creek Road, follow-up. Patrol issued a uniform traffic ticket, with Lewiston Town Court return date, to a 64-year-old male for a hit-run accident on Dec. 21/ report filed.

•1500 block of Colonial Drive, criminal mischief. Statement taken from a 57-year-old female who reported a bullet went south through her garage into her house. No injuries reported. Patrol checked the area with negative results.

•Ridge and Model City roads, assist. LPD on location with State Police to assist with traffic on a call of a hostile female. Plate number logged.

•Ridge Road, attempt to locate reckless driver, westbound from Dickersonville Road. Plate number logged; negative results on patrol's search.

•Lower River Road and Howard Drive, assist. LPD on location with Youngstown Police on a call of a suspicious male. Patrol cleared.

•900 block of Center Street, custody dispute at a supermarket business. Statement taken from a 25-year-old female. Report filed.

•2900 block of Saunders Settlement Road, alarm response at a retail business. All secure; no key holder on location. Call avoidable; report filed.

Saturday, Dec. 31

•4600 block of Creek Road, EMS/juvenile problem. Patrol reported a 17-year-old male was "huffing hairspray." Lewiston No. 1 EMS on location to transport for treatment.

•900 block of Mohawk Street, custody dispute. Patrol spoke with a 49-year-old female complainant and a 29-year-old male listed as a suspect. Report filed.

•Pletcher Road at Joe Davis Park access road, vehicle in ditch. Vehicle removed; no damage listed. Report filed.

Sunday, Jan. 1

•Creek Road and Washington Drive, vehicle/traffic stop. Patrol reported the pullover-arrest of a 28-year-old male on third degree aggravated unlicensed operation. Suspect released on an appearance ticket for Lewiston Town Court. Vehicle drive home by its owner. Report filed.

•5300 block of Military Road, Mount St. St. Mary's, assault. Patrol reported a 21-year-old female called in to report an assault that happened in Buffalo. Subject advised to contact Buffalo Police Department.

•Robert Moses Parkway, southbound, check welfare. Patrol reported finding a highly intoxicated male walking home to a Niagara Falls address. Courtesy ride provided by State Parks Police.

•800 block of Cayuga Street, suspicious person at a restaurant. Caller reported a male had been going in and out of the business, showing what appeared to be a gun, asking strange questions and trying to cause trouble. Patrol located a male, age 54, on the premises, identified him and took a gun-shaped lighter. U.S. Border Patrol notified about the individual. Report filed.

•Lewiston Road, vehicle/traffic stop. Patrol listed a 32-year-old male and a 24-year-old female as suspects linked to a violation of a court order. Male reported as barred from being with a named female. No further details. Report filed.

•5000 block of Marywood Drive, one vehicle property damage accident. Patrol requesting a review of the driver involved. No injury or tow. Report filed.

•Addresses on the 800 block of Oriole Lane and the 900 block of Mohawk Street, separate EMS responses. Female party choking on a pill, and other female difficulty breathing both taken by Lewiston No. 1 EMS to Mount St Mary's.
