As always, it will be the largest gymnastics competition to be held in Western New York this year. And, for 2012, the Graffiti Invitational, Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 7 and 8, will again take place at the Conference Center Niagara Falls.

Competition director Don Beecher says about 600 girls and 250 boys from four states will take part in the gymnastics event, along with 3,000 or more spectators.

Competition times are: 9 a.m., 12:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. and 11 a.m. Sunday.

The public is welcome at all sessions of this year's Graffiti Invitational, which is a state qualifying invitational. Gymnasts may go directly to the 2012 state championships.

Competitors range in age from 6 to 18 years of age. All are members of the United States Junior Olympic Program and will perform both compulsory and optional routines.
