Buffalo Niagara Partnership Launches 'Government Unplugged'

Young professionals series offers networking with elected officials

The Buffalo Niagara Partnership is launching "Government Unplugged," a series that connects young professionals with elected officials. Tonight will be the first event of the series, featuring State Sen. Mark Grisanti and facilitated by Gary Schober, president and CEO of Hodgson Russ.

"Government Unplugged" provides a forum for Buffalo Niagara 360 young professionals to network personally and professionally with Buffalo Niagara's elected officials. Grisanti will complete a one-on-one interview and rapid-fire question-and-answer sessions.

"The Buffalo Niagara Partnership produces Buffalo Niagara 360 to help our region's younger professionals thrive in their work and contribute to their community," said Andrew J. Rudnick, president and CEO of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership. "360's 'Government Unplugged' series provides these individuals with the opportunity to learn how the work of specific elected officials can and does affect their workplace and their lives."

Grisanti is senator of the 60th District, which covers areas in Erie and Niagara counties, the City of Buffalo, Grand Island, the City of Tonawanda and the City of Niagara Falls.

"I look forward to speaking with some of the finest young professionals living and working in Western New York," Grisanti said. "I am honored to be the first 'Government Unplugged' speaker and applaud the efforts of the Buffalo Niagara Partnership."
