Erie County Sheriff's Report for Oct. 7, 2011

The Erie County Sheriff's Office reports its officers responded to 423 calls from Sept. 17 to 30. Below is a sampling of only those incidents the ECSO reported to the Island Dispatch.

Saturday, Sept. 17

•Grand Island Boulevard, burglary - A complainant stated that, sometime during the night, someone stole various tools and parts from an automobile repair shop. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.

•Whitehaven Road, criminal mischief - A complainant stated that someone broke a window at a television station. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Monday, Sept. 19

•Town Hall Terrace, suspicious person - A complainant stated that a suspicious-looking male subject was seen walking around the Town Hall Terrace apartments during the late hours of the night. Patrol located the subject and advised him.

•Bedell Road, criminal mischief - A complainant stated that, sometime during the night, someone slashed the tires on a vehicle parked in the lot of his business. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.

•I-190, traffic arrest - Following a traffic stop, a deputy arrested a 31-year-old man from Niagara Falls, after a Department of Motor Vehicles check showed his license was suspended. The man was issued traffic tickets for aggravated unlicensed operation of a vehicle and other traffic violations returnable to Town of Grand Island Court.

Thursday, Sept. 22

•Staley Road, larceny - A complainant stated that numerous tools were stolen from a vehicle sometime during the night. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Friday, Sept. 23

•Revere Road, youth activity - Patrol responded to a report of a loud party on Revere Road. The deputy's investigation led to the arrest of numerous juvenile offenders for underage possession of alcohol. Juvenile offenders were issued appearance tickets returnable to Town of Grand Island Court.

Saturday, Sept. 24

•Revere Road, warrant arrest - Following patrol's investigation of an underage drinking party, a juvenile offender was arrested after he was found to have two outstanding warrants issued from Town of Grand Island Court. The juvenile offender was transported to the Erie County Holding Center pending his next appearance in court.

Sunday, Sept. 25

•Beaver Island State Park, trespass - Patrol's investigation into a suspicious persons complaint at Beaver Island State Park Golf Course led to the arrest of a 32-year-old man from North Tonawanda and a 35-year-old man from Lockport for trespassing. Both subjects were issued appearance tickets returnable to Town of Grand Island Court.

Monday, Sept. 26

•Baseline Road, criminal mischief - A complainant stated that, sometime during the night, someone broke the windows on her vehicle while it was parked in her driveway. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Tuesday, Sept. 27

•Stony Point Road, loud music - A complainant stated that loud music was coming from a residence in the area. Patrol located the source and advised the subject to turn down the music.

•Whitehaven Road, larceny - A complainant stated at an unknown time someone stole various items from his vehicle while it was parked at a hotel. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Wednesday, Sept. 28

•Fairview Court, larceny - Multiple residents in the neighborhood of Fairview Court reported that, sometime during the night, someone stole various items from vehicles in the area. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.

Friday, Sept. 30

•Dolphin Drive, larceny - Multiple residents in the neighborhood of Dolphin Drive reported that, sometime during the night, someone stole various items from vehicles in the area. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.

•Havenwood Lane, burglary - A complainant stated that someone stole an X-box from his residence. An investigation into the matter is ongoing.
