The Niagara Falls Old Timers Sports Hall of Fame has changed its name to The Niagara Falls Sports Hall of Fame. The organization, formed in 1968, has inducted 250 members and is working on creating a new image. Coinciding with its new name is a new logo.

The group invites visitors to check out its new website, www.nfshof.com, as well send inquiries to its email account at [email protected]. Those with Facebook can search "nfshof" to find the organization.

Applications can be accessed and submitted online or obtained from any board member. Hall of Fame organizers report the selection criteria has been upgraded. Applicants can be any past or current members of the community, age 55 years or older, living or deceased. The NFSHOF is now looking for individuals who have had exceptional careers as athletes and/or have been outstanding as sports coaches, managers, officials, sponsors, volunteers or athletic directors.

Past inductees, special award recipients, photos and other information about board members, meeting dates, banquet, etc. can be found on the website. For further information, contact website director Joe Rizzo at [email protected] or call 405-7175.
