Any student who will be entering Edward Town Middle School, grades 6 through 8, this September, is invited to join the summer math, reading and writing programs.

There is no registration required.  Students may come to Edward Town Middle School starting Tuesday, July 5, between 8:30 a.m. and 2 p.m. to pick up free handouts or sign a book out of one of the book stops, which will be located in the main lobby and main office of the school.

This program provides extra points and prizes for your English language arts and math classes in September.

The program will run until Thursday, Aug. 16, and only is open at school Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

At any other time, students can find activities and worksheets on the website at www.nwcsd.k12.ny.us. Click on "Edward Town Middle School" then on "Clubs and Activities" and scroll to Summer Math Program or Summer Reading and Writing Program and click on activity or printout to work on. Keep work in a folder to turn in to the student's English and/or math teacher in September.

Information was mailed to parents to explain the program in more detail.

For questions, call Sherilyn Gillard at 215-3662.
