Erie County Sheriff's Department Report for April 29, 2011

The Erie County Sheriff's Office reports its officers responded to 200 calls from April 15 to April 22. Below are the incidents about which the ECSO will reveal information.

Friday, April 15

•Hemlock Drive, alarm ringing - Residential alarm ringing. False alarm.

•Hazelwood Lane, alarm ringing - Residential alarm ringing. False alarm.

Saturday, April 16

•Love Road, suspicious person - While on patrol, sheriff's deputies came across a suspicious vehicle at a gas station during the early morning hours. Their investigation led to the arrest of a 36-year-old from Hamburg, who was found to have three outstanding warrants. During the same incident, deputies arrested a 29-year-old woman, also of Hamburg, when she became belligerent and irate with deputies. She was charged with disorderly conduct and obstruction of governmental administration. She was transported to the Erie County Holding Center, pending arraignment in Town of Grand Island Court.

•West River Road, criminal mischief - A complainant stated that sometime overnight his vehicle was vandalized. The complainant awoke to find several windows to the vehicle broken and damage done to the tailgate portion. An investigation is ongoing.

•Spicer Creek Run, alarm ringing - Residential alarm ringing. False alarm.

Sunday, April 17

•Love Road, alarm ringing - Alarm ringing at a pizzeria. False alarm.

•Industrial Drive, alarm ringing - Alarm ringing at Sihi Pumps Inc. False alarm.

Monday, April 18

•Oakridge Drive, alarm ringing. - Residential alarm ringing. False alarm.

•Whitehaven Road, vandalism - A complainant stated that, sometime during the weekend, an unknown person spray-painted the back of his fence. An investigation is ongoing.

•Whitehaven Road, vandalism - A complainant stated that, sometime during the weekend, an unknown person had spray-painted the side of the WNED-TV building. An investigation is ongoing.

•Love Road, alarm ringing - Alarm ringing at a grocery store. False alarm.

•Webb Road, alarm ringing - Residential alarm ringing. False alarm.

•Bedell Road, traffic arrest - Following a traffic stop, Patrol arrested a 21-year-old man from Grand Island, when a DMV check showed that the vehicle had a suspended registration. The man was issued traffic tickets returnable to Town of Grand Island Court at a later date.

Wednesday, April 20

•Staley Road, non-residential burglary - A complainant stated that he saw an unknown person near the shed of his residence. Shortly after the unknown person fled. The complainant found items from the shed strewn across the ground. It was unknown if anything was taken. An investigation is ongoing. 

•Fairview Court, alarm ringing - Residential alarm ringing. False alarm.

•Baseline Road, alarm ringing - Residential alarm ringing. False alarm.

Thursday, April 21

•Baseline Road, alarm ringing - Residential alarm ringing. False alarm.

•Baseline Road, alarm ringing - Residential alarm ringing. False alarm.

•Grand Island Boulevard, disorderly person - A complainant stated that an unknown male appeared intoxicated and was being rude to customers at a supermarket. Patrol checked the area and was unable to locate the subject.

•Grand Island Boulevard, alarm ringing - Alarm ringing at a sales and service business. False alarm.
