Pre-K students at Lutheran Church of the Messiah, 915 Oneida St., in the Village of Lewiston, recently came to school dressed in pajamas in memory of "Kids with Cancer," part of the project "Jammin for Cancer Research." Students also donated a care package, which was sent to members of the 914th Airlift Wing of the U.S. Air Force Reserve at the Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station who are serving in Afghanistan (including one parent of a pre-K student).

Messiah pre-K teachers say the projects are intended to help students experience "caring and sharing."
