Lewiston Police Blotter for March 12, 2011

The following activity occurred Monday, Feb. 28, to Sunday, March 6, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. A total of 83 calls were answered by LPD during this period.

Monday, Feb. 28

•700 block of Curtis Court, unwanted party. Statement taken from a 22-year-old female regarding a male suspect. Patrol advised the male to stay away from the complainant. Patrol spoke to the male's parents as well.

•Marywood and Elliott drives, suspicious vehicle. Patrol reported the vehicle as stolen out of Niagara Falls. Vehicle towed to Niagara Falls Police Department.

•500 block of Center Street, sexual harassment. Statement taken from a 22-year-old female regarding a 24-year-old male suspect. Patrol reported the arrest of the male later in the day. No further details. Report filed.

•2800 block of Upper Mountain Road, aggravated harassment. Statement taken from a 69-year-old female regarding an unknown suspect.

•5300 block of Elm Drive, aggravated harassment. Statement taken from a 27-year-old male regarding a 25-year-old female.

•LPD office, fraud complaint. Statement taken from a 59-year-old female.

•400 block of Baker Drive, harassment complaint. Statement taken from a 46-year-old female regarding a 56-year-old male.

•1700 block of Swann Road, harassment complaint. Statement taken from a 38-year-old male concerning some problems at his residence. Investigation to continue; report filed.

Tuesday, March 1

•4400 block of Dickersonville Road, check situation. Patrol advised of a violation of a court order at a residence involving a 37-year-old male. Report to follow.

•3500 block of Ransomville Road, assist. Patrol on location with Niagara County Sheriff's Office for a mental health response.

•5000 block of Grove Street, fraud complaint. Statement taken from a 28-year-old male regarding a male party.

•1100 block of Escarpment Drive, larceny. Statement taken from a 30-year-old male, suspect unknown.

•5300 block of Chew Road, theft of services. Patrol reported payment owed was subsequently returned.

•400 block of Fuller Place, attempt to locate. Patrol reported an active search on behalf of NFPD with negative results.

•1200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, unwanted party. Subject in question gone on patrol's arrival; no further incident.

Wednesday, March 2

•Bond Lake, suspicious motor vehicles. Vehicles located and sent on their way.

•400 block of Baker Drive, AED/EMS response. Patrol reported a 55-year-old male as unresponsive from a possible overdose. Lewiston No. 1 Volunteer Fire Co. transported to Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center.

•900 block of Mohawk Street, unattended death. Female party and county coroner on location.

•4600 block of Creek Road, assault. Patrol spoke with a 54-year-old male regarding a 51-year-old female.

•900 block of Upper Mountain Road, EMS response. Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Co. on location.

•Lower Mountain Road, one vehicle accident/DWI arrest. Patrol report the arrest of a 41-year-old male for driving while intoxicated, driving with more than .08 of 1 percent of alcohol, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and other DWI-related charges. Blood alcohol content testing performed at State Police substation Niagara. BAC result, .17 of 1 percent of alcohol. Driver arraigned at Lewiston Town Court and released on his own recognizance. Vehicle secured.

•2900 block of Upper Mountain Road, check welfare for two subjects listed as partiers and fighting, verbal. No fight reported.

Thursday, March 3

•900 block of Oxbow Lane, "Are You OK?" check. Homeowner not on location.

•400 block of 74th Street in Niagara Falls, arrest on warrant. Patrol reported the arrest of a 20-year-old male on a Town of Lewiston warrant and a NYS Parole Division warrant. Suspect arraigned at Town of Lewiston Court and remanded to the Niagara County Jail without bail. Report filed.

•400 block of Center Street, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from both drivers; MV forms issued. Report filed.

•LPD office, suspicious activity complaint. Statement taken from a 30-year-old female. Complainant advised her the complaint wasn't criminal. Patrol cleared.

•5300 block of William Street, dog problem. Male resident informed patrol that a neighbor had shot his dog with a BB gun. Complaint unfounded.

•LPD office, harassment complaint. No report desired. Complainant wanted to patrol to speak with the suspect.

Friday, March 4

•4900 block of Creek Road, officer requested. Patrol spoke with a 56-year-old female; no further details.

•4700 block of North Fifth Street and the 4900 block of Forrest Road, reports of suspicious vehicles. No problems at either location.

•5500 block of Townline Road, stolen vehicle. Statement taken from a 44-year-old male who reported a 2008 GMC white dump truck was taken overnight. Report turned over to NCSO.

•LPD office, officer requested for a juvenile problem. Patrol spoke with a 36-year-old female and a male juvenile.

•800 block of Center Street, three-car accident. Statement taken from driver No. 1; the other vehicles were parked.

•1100 block of Saunders Settlement Road, auto-stripping complaint. Statement taken from a 54-year-old male who reported a tailgate portion of a vehicle was stolen overnight. Report filed.

•Creek and Pletcher roads, suspicious person seen walking southbound. No problems found.

•5800 block of Garlow Road, overdose. Statement taken from a 54-year-old male regarding a 27-year-old male reported as possibly overdosed on heroin. Subject taken to EM-Star at Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center. Evidence recovered and secured. Investigation to continue.

Saturday, March 5

•Saunders Settlement Road and Route 429, vehicle traffic stop. Patrol reported the pullover-arrest of a 21-year-old female for third degree aggravated unlicensed operation and operation while the vehicle's registration is suspended/revoked. Bail of $250 assigned and driver remanded to the Niagara County Jail. Vehicle secured. Report filed.

•300 block of Kerr Street, domestic. Patrol spoke with a 37-year-old female regarding a 33-year-old male.

•700 block of Fairchild Place, larceny. Statement taken from a 48-year-old female who reported $320 taken from her purse. Suspect unknown. Report filed.

•4200 block of Dickersonville Road, check welfare. Patrol made contact with the homeowner; all OK.

Sunday, March 6,

•4800 block of Meyers Hills Road, car-pole injury accident. Patrol reported a 27-year-old female was charged with felony driving while intoxicated from the incident. Arraignment held at Lewiston Town Court and driver released on her own recognizance. Vehicle secured. Patrol's report to follow.

•300 block of Brentwood Drive, assist. Patrol on location with NCSO for an 84-year-old male with difficulty breathing. Youngstown Volunteer Fire Co. on location.

•Swann and Creek roads, car-pole accident. Statement taken by the driver. Pole damage and lawn damage reported. Vehicle removed. Report filed.

•Lower River Road, car-tree accident. No injuries; patrol cleared.

•200 block of North Ninth Street, property damage/vehicle in a ditch. Statement taken from a 59-year-old male listed as the homeowner. Patrol reported a 2004 Pontiac off the road and ended up in a yard. Vehicle removed by the driver. Report filed.

•2700 block of Ridge Road, the 700 block of Onondaga Street, and Ridge and Model City roads, separate reports of property damage accidents. Statements taken from all drivers involved; one vehicle involved was parked. No injuries or tows; separate reports filed.

•4600 block of Model City Road, criminal mischief. Statement taken from a 50-year-old male regarding a 29-year-old male. Report filed.

•4500 block of Washington Drive, criminal mischief. Statement taken from a 46-year-old male; report filed.
