Lewiston Police Blotter for Feb. 19, 2011

The following activity occurred Monday, Feb. 7, to Sunday, Feb. 13, as reported by the Lewiston Police Department. A total of 82 calls were answered by LPD during this period.

Monday, Feb. 7

•Townline Road, attempt to locate. Patrol advised of a possible intoxicated driver in a red Dodge minivan. Unable to locate.

•5300 block of Military Road, car-bus accident. Drivers not listed; no injuries or tows. Report filed.

•4900 block of Creek Road Extension, domestic/mental health response. Patrol reported a 76-year-old female and a 74-year-old male were involved in a verbal argument; a 60-year-old male was listed as witness. The female party was reported as yelling uncontrollably and removed by Rural Metro ambulance. Report filed.

•Locations at Indian Hill and Ridge roads and on the 1900 block of Ridge Road, reports of disabled vehicles. Calls addressed.

•700 block of Center Street, panic alarm at a business. Patrol spoke with the staff and reported all OK.

•4000 block of Creek Road, Lewiston-Porter High School, property retrieval. Statement taken from a 46-year-old male. Patrol took possession "of a small bag of green vegetable matter." Report filed.

•Lewiston and Military roads, vehicle check/warrant execution. Patrol reported a 31-year-old male was listed as a suspect. Arraignment held at Lewiston Town Court and bail of $500/$1,000 assigned. Vehicle secured; report filed.

•1800 block of Langdon Road, animal problem. Patrol reported a raccoon was gone prior to its arrival.

•499 block of Oneida Street, unwanted person. Party left prior to patrol's arrival.

Tuesday, Feb. 8

•Military and Upper Mountain roads, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from both drivers who were transported to Mount St. Mary's Hospital and Health Center for an evaluation. Both vehicles secured.

•Locations on the 400 block of Dutton Road and on North Fifth Street, separate assist EMS calls. Parties taken to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

•Locations on the 500 block of Mountain View Road and the 1900 block of Swann Road, separate reports of property damage accidents. Statements taken from the drivers.

•800 block of Foxwood Drive, neighbor problem. Patrol spoke with both parties and resolved issue.

•500 block of Meadowbrook Drive, assist EMS. Party taken to Mount St. Mary's Hospital.

•1100 block of 13th Street in Niagara Falls, bench warrant execution. Patrol reported a 30-year-old female was arraigned at Lewiston Town Court; charges not specified. Bail assigned at $500/$1,000.

•900 block of Pletcher Road, harassment. Statement taken from a 40-year-old female regarding a 40-year-old female. Patrol spoke with female advised to refrain from contact with the complainant.

Wednesday, Feb. 9

•100 block of North Sixth Street, AED call. Lewiston No. 1 Volunteer Fire Co. on location.

•700 block of Blairville Road, suspicious vehicle. Patrol reported a newspaper delivery vehicle stuck in a snow bank; no further problems.

•Indian Hill Road, reckless driver in a blue pickup. Vehicle gone on patrol's arrival.

•LPD office, walk-in fraud complaint. Statement taken from a 52-year-old female who reported an unknown suspect opened a National Fuel account in her name. Investigation to continue.

•Locations on Lewiston Hill Road and on the 200 block of Saunders Settlement Road, disabled vehicles. Calls addressed.

•Unspecified location, follow-up. Patrol reports issuing additional uniform traffic tickets to a 62-year-old male on blood results stemming from a Jan. 21 injury accident-DWI arrest on Townline and Albright roads.

•600 block of Scovell Drive, officer requested/possible harassment. Investigation to continue.

•5100 block of Bridgman Drive, suspicious person complaint. Statement taken from a 41-year-old female regarding a male on the property. Report filed.

•18th and Walnut streets in Niagara Falls, assist. LPD K-9 unit conducted a motor vehicle search; no further details.

Thursday, Feb. 10

•Water Street, reckless driver in a light-colored minivan. Patrol checked the area and reported the vehicle as gone on arrival. Complainant did not wish to be interviewed.

•Saunders Settlement Road and Buffalo Street, hit-run. Statement taken from driver of vehicle No. 1, who reported a silver Dodge Caravan fled the scene. Plate number logged. No damage to vehicle No. 1 and front end damage to vehicle No. 2. Report filed.

•Artpark main entrance, check-the-situation. Patrol located a 2005 green Kia Suburban with heavy front-end damage. Vehicle removed from a snow bank. Patrol contacted the male driver via phone and advised of a hold placed until a further interview. Vehicle suspected in the Saunders Settlement Road-Buffalo Street hit-run. Investigation to continue.

•3100 block of Park Avenue in Porter, mental health response. Patrol reported a female went voluntarily to Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center.

•Unspecified location, assist. Patrol assisted Niagara County Sheriffs Office with an unwanted party.

•100 block of Center Street, suspicious person. Patrol spoke with a 52-year-old female and reported the subject as gone on arrival.

•Main lot, Niagara University, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from both drivers; report filed.

•1700 block of Swann Road, harassment. No further details.

•900 block of Creek Road Extension, neighbor problem. Resolved by patrol.

Friday, Feb. 11

•NU campus, O'Shea Hall, disturbing the peace. Patrol reported 20 kids were involved and dispersed same.

•300 block of Brookshire Road, suspicious vehicle. Patrol reported vehicle as disabled and gave the occupants a courtesy ride.

•NU campus, criminal mischief. Statement taken from a 19-year-old female, who reported an unknown person broke a side view mirror on a vehicle. Report filed.

•1300 block of Ridge Road, Lewiston Town Hall, harassment. Statement taken from a 57-year-old female who reported an individual came into Town Hall and was verbally abusive. Report filed.

•Military and Upper Mountain roads, two-vehicle accident. Statements taken from both drivers. No injuries and vehicle No. 1 towed. Report filed.

•Locations at Saunders Settlement and Tuscarora roads, on Indian Hill Road, and at Swann and Dickersonville roads, separate calls of disabled vehicles/vehicles in ditches. All calls addressed.

•5100 block of Woodland Drive, open door reported by a 53-year-old female. Residence searched and all OK.

Saturday, Feb. 12

•700 block of Hillview Court, underage party. Patrol had all involved contact their parents for a ride home. Patrol cleared.

•4900 block of Hillview Court, loud party complaint. Subjects gone on arrival.

•Locations on Indian Hill Road, the 1900 block of Saunders Settlement Road, the 100 block of Ridge Road, Route 429 and Lower Mountain Road, calls of disabled vehicles/vehicles in ditches. All calls addressed.

•Creek and Swann roads, road rage complaint. Resolved by patrol.

•5800 block of Ward Road, property dispute. Call handled by NCSO.

•900 block of James Drive, heroin overdose. Patrol listed a female party in its report. State Police and Upper Mountain Volunteer Fire Co. EMS on location.

Sunday, Feb. 13

•NU campus, Seton Hall, overdose. Patrol listed an 18-year-old male in its report. Upper Mountain EMS on location.

•1700 block of Mount Hope Road, AED response. Lewiston No. 2 Volunteer Fire Co. EMS on location.

•Robert Moses Parkway near the Lewiston-Queenston Bridge, assist. Patrol on locations with State Parks Police for a head-on motor vehicle accident. No further details.

•5300 block of Chew Road, possible criminal mischief/unwanted party/disorderly conduct. Statement taken from a 46-year-old male regarding a 33-year-old male suspect, who was placed under arrest. Arraignment held at Lewiston Town Court, bail of $250/$500 assigned and suspect remanded to the Niagara County Jail. Report filed.

•5200 block of Military Road, assist. Patrol on location with State Police for an alarm response. All appeared secure; no key holder.

•NU campus, Clet Dining Hall, large fight. Call handled in house by NU Campus Security.

•2100 block of Ridge Road, fire/EMS call. Lewiston No. 1 on location.

•4900 block of Creek Road, check welfare. Patrol spoke with a 76-year-old female who was upset that a 73-year-old male wouldn't stay in bed. Call handled by patrol.

•100 block of Dorwood Park in Wilson, fight/stabbing. Patrol on location to assist NCSO. Patrol reported a 21-year-old male from Wilson stabbed a 21-year-old male from Ransomville. Subject placed under arrest by NCSO. Arrest handled by sheriff's deputies.
