The Trinity United Methodist Church's "Holiday Pops Concert" on Dec. 12 included holiday music of the Trinity Chancel Choir, as well as the Trinity Tollers, Trinity Tollers Quintet, the Trinity Chamber Orchestra, and Trinity Orchestra.

An offering raised $713 to benefit a medical mission trip to Haiti in the spring. Guest speaker Karen Bullock spoke about Trinity's first such medical mission trip to Haiti. According to the mission team, the group will visit five small villages in the Les Cayes region with several goals in mind:

•Provide medical care for five villages.

•Obtain clean water and teach its importance.

•Provide personal hygiene kits.

•Teach proper community sanitation methods.

•Provide anti-parasite prevention and education.

•"Spread the love of God in a tangible and effective way to people who have been devastated by poverty, injustice and ignorance."

An ongoing medical clinic project is raising $50,000 for a permanent clinic in Haiti, an undertaking of the Grand Island Rotary Club, Rotary District 7090, Bethanie Mission of Haiti, local churches and individual donors.
