Whether you want to be the next Picasso, Sandra Bullock, or even Elvis Presley, Artpark has a summer camp in store for you. Artpark's week-long children's camps will feature three sessions of Art Camp and one special week of Theater Camp in association with Artpark's 2010 Broadway Musical, and introduces a week of Rock Camp for aspiring rock stars.

Limited enrollment for Artpark camps is now under way.

Artpark's Theater Camp returns (Aug. 16-20; $250) to offer young theater buffs an exclusive experience with professional cast members from Artpark's upcoming production of "All Shook Up," a new musical comedy inspired by and featuring the songs of Elvis Presley. Theater camp attendees will be guided through the principles of acting, singing, dancing, storytelling and more. As an added bonus, the Theater Camp enrollees will be treated to a matinee presentation of Artpark's production of "All Shook Up."

Directed by Candice Kogut, artistic director of the West Seneca Youth Theatre, the camp culminates with a backstage theater tour and camper-created Mainstage performance on the final day.

Artpark will present three sessions of its Art Camp (July 12-16, 19-23 and Aug. 2-6; $200), providing children the opportunity to enhance their creativity, imagination and technique in a stimulating summertime environment. Coordinated by Artpark's Art Programs Director Tanis Winslow, this creative camp integrates hands-on activities in painting, drawing and clay work with projects in textiles, sculpting and abstraction. Family and friends will be invited to a camper art show on the final day of the program, to view camper works and then take them home for display.

Rock Camp (July 26-31, $250), the newest installment of Artpark's summer camps, is open to young guitarists, bassists and keyboardists seeking to explore many different elements of rock music. Rock Camp, directed by Randy Andropolis (former executive director for the Music School of Niagara), urges campers to develop and groom their musicianship skills. Enrollment requires a minimum of two years experience on instrument(s). Campers will rock out with a final performance on July 31 at 2 p.m. on Artpark's Outdoor Amphitheater Stage as part of "Free Family Saturdays."

Artpark Art and Theater Camps are limited to children ages 9-14. Rock Camp is suitable for ages 10-18. All camps take place Monday through Friday, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Enrollment is limited, as one-on-one instruction is emphasized. Full payment is due upon registration. For a brochure or registration form, call the Artpark Box Office at 754-4375 or visit www.artpark.net.
