Mike Tirico makes his regular-season play-by-play debut on NBC's NFL coverage

NBC's "Sunday Night Football" continues this week when Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers visit Kirk Cousins and the Washington Redskins in a rematch of last season's NFC Wild Card game. Coverage begins with "Football Night in America" at 7 p.m. ET.

In last season's NFC Wild Card game, Rodgers passed for 480 yards and four touchdowns in Green Bay's 35-18 win over Washington. Packers WR Jordy Nelson had two receiving touchdowns in that game, and is currently tied for the top spot in the league with eight touchdown catches. Including the postseason, Green Bay has won six of its past seven games against Washington.

The Redskins defeated the Vikings 26-20 in Week 10, as rookie RB Rob Kelley rushed for a career-high 97 yards. Cousins has seven touchdown passes in his past three home games for a 103.5 rating, leading the Redskins to three consecutive home victories. This game marks the first time Green Bay and Washington will meet on "Sunday Night Football."

Calling Packers-Redskins are Mike Tirico (play-by-play); 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth; and two-time Emmy Award-winning sideline reporter Michele Tafoya. Tirico, who called "Monday Night Football" on ESPN for 10 years (2006-16), makes his regular-season play-by-play debut on NBC's NFL coverage.

"Football Night in America" is hosted by Bob Costas, who will report on-site from FedExField in Hyattsville, Maryland; and Dan Patrick, who will host from NBC Sports Group's International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Connecticut. Patrick is joined by Hall of Fame head coach Tony Dungy, two-time Super Bowl champion Rodney Harrison, and Mike Florio of NBC Sports' "ProFootballTalk." Paul Burmeister will report from CenturyLink Field in Seattle on the Eagles-Seahawks game.
