The Grand Island Snowmobile Club is sponsoring a New York state certified snowmobile safety course at no charge Wednesday and Thursday, Nov. 16 and 17, from 5 to 9 p.m.
The course will take place at the Grand Island Rod and Gun Club, 1083 Whitehaven Road.
Participants must attend both sessions to meet state safety certificate requirements. The course is open to everyone 10 years of age or older. Those 10 to 17 years old must obtain a state safety certificate in order to ride on state trails.
