NBC, the only network with two primetime NFL packages, has selected Grammy Award-winning and multiplatinum-recording artist Pentatonix to perform the show open for its new "Thursday Night Football package."

Pentatonix will sing and perform "Weekend Go," which is inspired by their original hit "Sing." The song has amassed nearly 17 million views on YouTube. "Sing" is from Pentatonix' self-titled certified gold album that debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last fall.

The show open celebrates the start of the NFL weekend, with game highlights and player cameos. It kicks off the nine NBC-produced "TNF" games, beginning Thursday, Nov. 3, when the Atlanta Falcons visit the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on NFL Network.

NBC's "TNF" schedule kicks off Thursday, Nov. 17, as the NFC champion Carolina Panthers host division rival New Orleans Saints. NBC's "TNF" then has a four-week run of games beginning on Thursday, Dec. 1, with a blockbuster matchup as the first-place Dallas Cowboys visit the first-place Minnesota Vikings at the new U.S. Bank Stadium.

Since bursting onto the scene in 2011, Pentatonix have sold roughly 3.5 million albums in the U.S. alone, won 2 Grammys, sold out venues worldwide, have amassed over 1.6 billion views on their YouTube channel (which is approaching 11 million subscribers) and appeared in the feature film ""Pitch Perfect 2. Their latest release, "Pentatonix," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 and current albums chart and is certified gold by the RIAA.

NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app will stream all of NBC's "TNF" games to desktops, tablets and connected TVs. The NBC Sports app will stream coverage via "TV Everywhere," giving consumers additional value to their subscription service, and making high-quality content available to MVPD customers both in and out of the home and on multiple platforms. The full HD-quality video stream will come directly from NBC's "TNF" broadcasts. The NBC Sports app is available on Apple iOS, Android and select Samsung devices, as well as on Amazon Fire, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, Win10 and Xbox.
