'Sister We Win' gala to support breast cancer patients

Out-of-pocket expenses can pile up quickly for patients dealing with breast cancer. While insurance can help, there are still lengthy co-pays to cover, over-the-counter medications to purchase, and other costs that aren't covered by insurance plans.

To help breast cancer patients who are undergoing chemotherapy and radiation treatment cope with such expenses, the 2U ABC Breast Cancer Support Group at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center will hold its second annual "Sister We Win - Overcoming Through Courage & Strength" dinner gala on Friday, Oct. 28. The event will be held from 6-10 p.m. at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel, 7001 Buffalo Ave., Niagara Falls.

Admission is a $50 donation with proceeds to benefit the 2U ABC Breast Cancer relief fund.

Hostess for the gala will be Tomorrow Allen-Collins, general manager of the Doris W. Jones Family Resource Building, with music provided by the award-winning Soul Providers.

The event will also feature vendor displays, prize drawings, basket raffles and much more.
