The Healthy Scratch opens Monday at HarborCenter

Quick-service restaurant offers a variety of unique, healthy food and drink options

Jessie and Kelly Pegula today announced The Healthy Scratch will fully open on Monday morning in The Shops at HarborCenter. The Healthy scratch will be open daily from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.

"Kelly and I are excited to bring our healthy lifestyle ideas to the Western New York community," Jessie Pegula said. "We have a passion for healthy, modern food items and have been working to develop a menu that highlights some popular trends that have taken off around the country. We are very proud to begin this chapter of our professional lives in Buffalo's emerging Canalside district."

The Healthy Scratch is dedicated to providing a fast and healthy, dine-in or take-out experience through a variety of fresh, high-quality, organic ingredients. The quick-service restaurant will offer smoothies, acai bowls, and a wide assortment of fresh cold-pressed juices, salads, wraps, overnight oatmeal, yogurts and other healthy grab-and-go food options. The restaurant will also offer branded merchandise, water bottles and natural beauty products.

Jessie Pegula, a professional tennis player, has led in the creation and development of the healthy food and beverage menu items. Jessie's passion for health and wellness through organic food and beverages stems from her six-year professional sports career, consulting with experts in the health and wellness and sports industry, including tennis, NFL, NHL and MLB professionals.

Kelly Pegula, a college marketing student, has led in the design of apparel and overall merchandise sales and operations. Kelly and Jessie have successfully designed and launched clothing lines under the One Buffalo brand. Kelly has recently extended her men's and women's designs, in addition to partnering with New Era Cap Co. to design both 59FIFTY and 39THIRTY caps.

"We have been inspired by our parents' business success and share their passion for the City of Buffalo," Kelly Pegula said. "They have inspired Jessie and me to start our own business here in Buffalo. The development of our region, recent trends in the health food industry, and our passion for both has made this venture extremely meaningful for us."
