The New York State Department of Transportation announced a ramp closure is scheduled to occur on Interstate 190 in the City of Niagara Falls, as a part of a project to perform highway and drainage repairs.

On Thursday, Oct. 13, at approximately 11 p.m., the Interstate 190 northbound ramp to the Niagara Scenic Parkway westbound (Robert Moses Parkway) toward downtown Niagara Falls and Niagara Falls State Park will be closed to all traffic. Motorists will be directed to follow a posted detour.

This closure is expected to last for approximately two weeks, but could be delayed in the event of inclement weather.

Motorists are advised to allow for additional travel time, and to obey the posted speed limit along the detour route.

Motorists are also reminded that fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual's driver's license.
