The New York State Department of Transportation has announced a ramp closure is scheduled to occur on the LaSalle Expressway in the City of Niagara Falls as a part of the project to re-pave a portion of the LaSalle Expressway.

On Monday, Oct. 10, from approximately 7:30 a.m. until 5 p.m., the LaSalle Expressway westbound ramp to the Niagara Scenic Parkway (Robert Moses Parkway) will be closed to all traffic. Motorists will be directed to follow a posted detour.

This work is weather-sensitive and could be delayed in the event of inclement weather. Motorists are advised to allow for additional travel time and to obey the posted speed limit along the detour route.

Motorists are also reminded fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. In accordance with the Work Zone Safety Act of 2005, convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual's driver's license.
