The 38th annual Wheatfield Family Picnic is slated for Sunday, Aug. 21, at Fairmount Park, 3185 Stieg Road.
The day will begin with American Legion Post No. 1451 raising the flag at 10:45 a.m., followed by both Catholic and Protestant church services. Picnic festivities will take place from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and will include games, food, entertainment and several activities. Featured will be a rock climbing wall, kids carnival, petting zoo and several other family-friendly activities.
