Assemblyman John D. Ceretto will host a forum on programs available to local seniors. Several topics will be covered, and Ceretto encouraged members of the community to join him.
"Seniors have worked hard to build our community," he said. "It's important that they are informed about and have access to programs that may be able to help them and their families."
Ceretto will be joined by elder law attorney Dave Heim, who will cover topics such as estate planning, wills and health proxies, and answer participants' questions. They will also discuss state programs for seniors such as the elderly pharmaceutical insurance coverage program (EPIC), home energy assistance program (HEAP), weatherization assistance program (WAP), supplemental nutritional assistance program (SNAP) and Enhanced STAR. These programs can help seniors save money while accessing vital benefits.
The forum will be held from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Friday, April 29, at the Earl W. Brydges Library, 1425 Main St., Niagara Falls. For more information, contact Ceretto's office at 716-282-6062 or [email protected].
