The Lewiston Republican Committee has announced the 2016 Village of Lewiston GOP caucus will be held at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, April 28, at the Red Brick Municipal Building gym, 145 N. Fourth St. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.

"This caucus is to select our candidates for the Village Board of Trustees," said Karl Frankovitch, chairman of the Lewiston Republic Committee. "We wish all registered Republicans living in the village to come and cast a ballot for the candidate of their choice. We have two outstanding endorsed candidates - incumbent candidate Nick Conde and incumbent candidate Dan Gibson.

"Both of these gentlemen have served previous terms on the Village Board and are looking to continue their valuable service to our wonderful village. We have, as every village resident knows, a host of issues to address, and we encourage every registered village Republican to come out and cast their ballot for their chosen candidate."

Doors will open for registration at 5:30 p.m. and will close for voting at 6:30 p.m. There is no admittance after the doors close. Frankovitch asks those attending to be on time.
