'The Chew' heats up the kitchen for sweeps with guests Kate Hudson, Bellamy Young, Anderson Cooper, Alfonso Ribeiro

Countdown to 'The Chew's' 1,000th show begins

"The Chew" co-hosts, Mario Batali, Michael Symon, Clinton Kelly, Carla Hall and Daphne Oz, celebrate spring with sumptuous, easy dishes and welcome celebrities from the worlds of movies, news, TV, music and more April 25-29. In addition, the countdown begins for "The Chew's" 1,000th show with a look at some of the co-hosts' favorite moments.

Listings are subject to change. "The Chew airs at 1 weekdays.

Monday, April 25 - "Fabulous Family Favorites" - Alfonso Ribeiro ("America's Funniest Home Videos") makes tasty lemon carrot summer rolls; Clinton welcomes back the Joneses from York, Pennsylvania, and joins the parents and kids to make Jones family jambalaya. And "The Chew" cameras travel to Hawthorne, New Jersey, to meet the moms and kids behind No Fuss Lunch, a healthy school meal program that delights parents and kids alike.

Tuesday, April 26 - "Spring-Spiration"- "Chew" contributor Kenji Lopez-Alt kicks springtime up a notch with a supper dish to dazzle, and Michael cooks a foolproof "5-in-5" entree using five ingredients in five minutes.

Wednesday, April 27 - "Buzzworthy Bites" -Bellamy Young ("Scandal") dishes with Clinton and prepares a mouth-watering meal to set the internet ablaze. Carla goes behind the scenes at Buzzfeed's kitchen in NYC, and Michael takes a recipe with an enormous online following and puts a "Chew" twist on it.

Thursday, April 28 - "Irresistible Eats" - Jesse Tyler Ferguson ("Modern Family") gives Mario the scoop on his new Broadway role in "Fully Committed." Carla kicks off the countdown to the 1,000th show by revealing her top three moments from the past five seasons. A lucky winner from the studio audience gets to craft with Clinton.

Friday, April 29 - "Dynamo Dinners" - Kate Hudson makes her first appearance on the show, promoting her movie "Mother's Day" and her fitness book, "Pretty Happy." CNN's Anderson Cooper talks about his new documentary, "Nothing Left Unsaid," and his memoir "The Rainbow Comes and Goes," which he co-wrote with his mother. Michael takes "The Chew's" cameras to his latest hit restaurant, Mabels BBQ, in Cleveland, and reveals his own top three memories from "The Chew's" first five years.
