Former Niagara Frontier Publications intern Courtney Corbetta recently joined WKBW Channel 7 as a part-time feature reporter for "AM Buffalo" and host/reporter of "Your Home, Your Way."

"Courtney has proven to be a solid feature reporter and has helped add a fresh approach to 'AM Buffalo' segments," said Michael Nurse, vice president and general manager for WKBW. "Adding a younger female voice to some of our segments has been very appealing to our clients. Since hiring her for the show, we have expanded her role as the host of a new weekend home improvement show called 'Your Home, Your Way.' "

"AM Buffalo" airs weekdays at 10 a.m. on WKBW while "Your Home, Your Way" is running Saturdays at noon during the months of April and May on 7 ABC.

Corbetta is a Western New York native who grew up in Lewiston. She graduated from Lewiston-Porter High School and majored in communications with a double minor in theater and dance at Niagara University. She graduated summa cum laude and was named one of the "20 Most Intriguing Students on Campus" in her freshman year. She also won the Niagara County Peach Festival Peach Queen scholarship pageant.

Corbetta interned with NFP, the Buffalo Sabres public relations department and Time Warner Cable News Buffalo while attending college. After her graduation, she served as the dugout reporter and in-game host for the Rockland Boulders baseball organization of the Can-AM League.

When Corbetta isn't working on her television career, she enjoys spending time with her family and volunteering in the community.
