The University at Buffalo's New York State Center of Excellence in Materials Informatics (CMI) will hold two events on Feb. 18 to showcase collaborative faculty and industry projects and to introduce UB's new Department for Materials Design and Innovation (MDI).

The events will begin at 2:45 p.m. at 701 Ellicott St., Buffalo. CMI Executive Director Mark Swihart, Ph.D., will moderate a panel of UB faculty researchers and industry representatives from Healthcare Hub, Vader Systems, POP Biotechnologies and Unifrax.

"This diverse panel will illustrate how CMI is supporting industry-university collaborations that drive innovation and help both new and long-established businesses become more competitive through technological innovation," Swihart said.
