Heart of Niagara Animal Rescue will hold a special volunteer meeting from 11:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. this Saturday, Jan. 9, inside the Lewiston Public Library's Community Room, 305 S. Eighth St.
Topics will include new adoptions, updates on renovations at the rescue's new building, and help needed for HON's major fundraiser "A Taste of The Niagara Region," which coming up Saturday, Jan. 30.
New volunteers are always welcome. HON is gratefully accepting supplies and donated items for the event's basket auction and will also have $25 food tickets for the "Taste" event available for purchase at the meeting.
