Trio of seminars featured Jan. 23 at The Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls
Whitetail deer guru Charlie Alsheimer returns to the Greater Niagara Fishing and Outdoor Expo's main stage, at The Conference & Event Center Niagara Falls, 101 Old Falls St., on Jan. 23. Alsheimer, of Bath, will present a trilogy of deer and nature photography seminars.
The Greater Niagara Fishing & Outdoor Expo runs Jan. 22-24. Tickets to the expo are now available at www.NiagaraFishingExpo.com.
"Strategies for Whitetails," normally a three-hour Alsheimer specialty, will be divided into two segments. Parts one and two will cover the timing of the rut; whitetail behavior during the rut (seeking, chasing and breeding combined with strategies for each phase); scrape hunting and how to build mock scrapes; smart scouting tips and killer calling strategies; stand locations; hunting with decoys; as well as antler potential (what it takes) and antler development.
"For those who are interested in nature and wildlife photography, Alsheimer is one of the best in the business," said Bill Hilts, outdoor promotions director for the Niagara Tourism & Convention Corp.
In this third seminar, Alsheimer will share insights from more than 40 years of nature photography experience and reveal the techniques that have made him an award-winning photographer.
"This seminar addresses all aspects of nature photography - everything from camera equipment, to composition, to how to master different lighting conditions. Beginners and experts can all learn something from this camera maven," Hilts said.
Alsheimer is one of a long list of other presenters during the three-day expo, which will feature more than 120 seminars and a large focus on education. There are also over 100 fishing and outdoor exhibitors throughout the weekend. For more information, or to purchase tickets, visit www.NiagaraFishingExpo.com.
"The best value is a three-day expo pass for just $16," Hilts said. "You'll get your money's worth ... and then some. Get signed up today!"
