Children and families hustled and bustled to the Village of Lewiston Saturday for the annual Lewiston Christmas Walk, hosted by the Niagara River Region Chamber of Commerce.

The event kicked off with Santa flying into Academy Park courtesy of a Rainbow Air helicopter. After greeting a couple hundred spectators, he boarded his specially designed Deal Realty float. Then, Santa (and friends) paraded down Center Street to the Lewiston Peace Garden, where he sat and listened as children read their Christmas wish lists to him.

Inside the courtyard, carolers performed. Just down the street, The Brickyard Pub & B.B.Q. welcomed families to a gingerbread house-making course. Over at Hennepin Park, meanwhile, a Shenandoah Acres petting zoo offered llamas, a bunny and a ginormous Humble Bumble.

On Friday, the Village of Lewiston hosted its annual lighting of the tree ceremony inside Hennepin Park.
